Elizabeth has a lot of professional credentials—an MFA from the University of Maryland, College Park; a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University—and she’s professor emeritus at a large southern university. But her biggest accomplishment so far is outwitting stage-4 colon cancer.
She writes about living, despite a 5-year survival rate of 14%. About how funny it is to stare down death every day. About her wonderful husband, great family, and devoted friends who are secretly wondering…how much longer can she possibly live?
Is she dead yet? No. Not yet.
